Victor Kristiansen joins Leicester City from Copenhagen for £17 million.

Kristiansen, a Denmark Under-21 international, joins on a five-and-a-half-year contract until 2028.

After long-term injuries to James Justin and others, the 20-year-old will help manager Brendan Rodgers’ options at left-back.

“It feels amazing,” Kristiansen said, according to the club’s website. “It’s fantastic to be here.”

“The Premier League is probably the best league in the world, and Leicester is a top team, so of course I was excited,” he added.

“It was a no-brainer for me to accept this fantastic opportunity.”

The Foxes have been in poor form since domestic football resumed after the World Cup, losing four consecutive top-flight games.

They are 15th in the Premier League, two points clear of the drop zone.

Kristiansen, who has made over 70 appearances for Copenhagen, will be in the stands at King Power Stadium on Saturday to watch Leicester take on Brighton before rejoining the first team for training on Monday.
